Our Story

Hybrid Advisory Malta was set up by Mario Camilleri following his 35 year work experience in the banking and private sectors. During his final 20 years up to 2021, Mario held a number of board and committee appointments on private and listed entities as well as C-suite and senior management positions. 

He brings along a 20 year Banking experience, and a 15 year CEO experience of a leading family business in Malta. Throughout his career, Mario was exposed to various sectors of the economy including: retail & wholesale, manufacturing, hospitality including hotels, leisure & cinemas, property development, investment property management and land based gaming. As a professional banker, Mario’s experience peaked in Corporate Banking & Finance after having progressed from retail banking to international trade finance.

Combining his banking background with the direct business experience, Mario specialises in corporate re-organisations, transformation of traditional businesses to structured/professional ones, the planning and raising of finance and funding requirements to support re-structuring plans and growth strategies, treasury and financial management, leading/guiding executive management team members and overseeing the implementation of business plans within organisations. 

Mario has been actively involved in management buy-outs, business mergers, acquisitions and transfers, capital markets listings and the preparation thereof, revision of corporate governance systems, and strategic planning.

In 1999, Mario earned a degree in Financial Services from the London Institute of Banking and Finance of which he first qualified as an Associate in 1997. Between 2000 and 2006, Mario was also a visiting lecturer for Marketing, Sales & Customers Service at the Malta branch of the Institute of Financial Services
